Method
Fourteen indicators, six theories
The checklist comes from Butlin, Long et al. (2023), Consciousness in Artificial Intelligence: Insights from the Science of Consciousness — a report by neuroscientists, philosophers and AI researchers that turns leading scientific theories of consciousness into concrete, checkable “indicator properties”.

Assess
An open-weights model on Cloudflare Workers AI rates each indicator 0–3 with one line of evidence, instructed to judge architecture, never claims or personas.
Score
Ratings are averaged within each theory, then across all six theories, so no single theory dominates. The result is a 0–100 Consciousness Indicator Score.
